How to become a Christian...and why
A - Admit
Admit to God that you are a sinner.
(Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
Repent (turn away) from your sin.
(Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9).
B - Believe
Believe that Jesus is God's Son and accept God's gift
of forgiveness from sin.
(Romans 5:8; Acts 4:12; John 3:16; John 14:6;
Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13).
C - Confess
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
(Romans 10:9-10, 13).
If possible, locate a Bible and read the passages
listed. You can find them in the "New Testament"
which is located in approximately the "last half" of
the Bible.
Do you understand its simple message?
Then, won't you consider praying a prayer like this?
"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and I also know
that Jesus died for my sins. Lord, I accept what Jesus
did for me on the cross. Jesus I ask you to come into
my heart and save me. I believe that You are the Savior
sent by God to save me and give me eternal life.
Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer and saving
my soul."

Why Do I Need To Be Saved?
I have been asked, "You say I need to be saved, but what is it that I need to
be saved from?" Many people are confused about the need for salvation,
not only people in the world but also people who claim to know the Lord.
I want to remind us of why we need to be saved and what it is that we are
being saved from.
First, we are saved from spiritual and eternal death. We all know that
physical death is something we all are going to face. Hebrews 9:27, "And as
it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."
This death means the separation of the spirit from the body.
But this is not the most serious kind of death. There is a spiritual death,
which is the separation of the soul from God. This death is spoken of in
Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is death."
James 1:15 also says, "Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:
and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." To be spiritually dead is
to be dead in trespasses and sins, (Ephesians 2:1 & 5). This is the condition
of all mankind apart from God. You also need to remember that this death is
eternal. Matthew 25:46 says, "And these shall go away into everlasting
punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting."
Clearly we see that we need to be saved from spiritual death.
Second, we need to be saved from the wrath of God. John 3:36, "He that
believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." Because of sin
those who die the spiritual death will receive the wrath of God. John said
that there would come a day when men would cry that the mountains and
rocks would fall upon them to hide them from the face of the One who sits
on the throne and from His wrath (Revelation 6: 16-17). In the day of grace
"now" God curbs His wrath, but there is a day coming when His wrath will be
poured out like water upon this earth. No one will be able to stand against
the wrath of the Lord. In fact the Bible says that men will beg to die but they
can't for they must experience the full fury of God's wrath. Truly we need to
be saved from God's wrath.
Love in Christ,
